The Carpet Company x Nike SB Dunk High is a funky collaboration between the Baltimore based skateboard brand and Nike SB on the beloved skate shoe. In 2020, the Nike SB Dunk and standard Dunk recaptured their former glory and standing as some of the most playful and highly sought after shoes in Nike’s footwear collection. Due in no small part to the release of too-many-to name collaborations and returning “OG” colorways, both the skate-ready SB Dunk and lifestyle Dunk were the “it” shoes of the year. The momentum carried over in a big way in 2021 thanks to models like this Carpet Company design. White-and-blue bleached graphic overlays on the forefoot, eyelets, collar, heel, and Swoosh logo garner attention against the stark white leather base. The blue material can also be worn away or cut off to reveal another colorful graphic underneath. Carpet Company embroiders its “C” star motif on the heel and a small tan suede overlay appears on the bottom of the mid-panel above the intentionally-aged yellow midsole. A co-branded tongue tag is stitched on top of the white mesh tongue and the gum rubber outsole provides plenty in the way of grip for skateboarding
