Ldwaffle "Undercover X Sacai - Night Maroon" DJ4877 600 Sneakers

The Undercover x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle "Night Maroon" is a collaboration that joins two of Japan’s most popular fashion brands with Nike on the retro-modern shoe. The original Sacai x Nike LDWaffle debuted back in 2019 and is an amalgamation of two of Nike’s most popular vintage running shoes from the 1970s—the LDV and Waffle Racer. Here, Sacai and Nike recruit Undercover, another brand known for pushing the envelope with its abstract sneaker collaborations with Nike, on updating the LDWaffle in a new colorway. The upper’s Night Maroon nylon base is contrasted by hairy grey suede and smooth black leather overlays on the toe and heel. A grey suede Swoosh appears beneath a layered Team Royal leather Swoosh on either side. The look is consistent with the “doubled” look of Sacai and Nike’s original LDWaffle collaboration. The layered aesthetic continues on the tongue where white and blue laces appear over a stacked maroon and black nylon tongue. Dual “Sacai” and “Nike” branding is located on the heel.
